This design that’s a nod to the Bauhaus style has This design that’s a nod to the Bauhaus style has been sat on my computer since 2021 before I even started listing designs on Spoonflower. Maybe it's time to do something about that and all the other ones that are there. This was an early exercise in colour blocking and shape formation, my kind of digital doodling. I've just created a softer more muted version as well so there are 2 to choose from on a variety of fabric bases, wallpapers and home decor products.

We've dismantled Christmas today and now I'm clear We've dismantled Christmas today and now I'm clearing up my office that looks like a fabric, paper and cardboard bomb has gone off. It's exactly how I abandoned it before the Christmas break and time I made some headway in creating a calmer clutter free environment ready for the week ahead.

This group of images are my most popular from 2025 on Instagram, I’ve not been posting so much lately yet these are mostly from September onwards. What does that say about the earlier part of the year? I’ve spent less time on designing fabric and wallpaper and focused more on my interior clients this past year. My sales of fabrics and wallpapers on Spoonflower steadily increased 60% over the last year but have dropped drastically the last month or so. I think we’re all tired of hearing how to chase algorithms whether that’s to generate sales or to gain business visibility online, working out how a company changes it’s search system isn’t something I want to be spending my time doing especially when it’s AI based.

I want to create meaningful interiors that reflect the personalities of my clients, empower people to embrace colour, it doesn’t need to be crazy and over the top but it needs to generate a mood or emotion, a place you want to spend time and be yourself. I also want to find my creative mojo again, experiment with creating tangible art and combining that with digital art, seeing where that takes me.

As we get older we all value our time more and have less tolerance for things that aren’t bringing us joy, get rid of the physical and digital clutter, make space for your own thoughts and creativity. I want to go online and see beautiful things people have made, craftsman’s skills, interesting places, amazing food and things that inspire.
Last drapery install for the year! This Harlequin Last drapery install for the year! This Harlequin fabric was on backorder a few months but well worth the wait and adds the perfect blend of colour and softness to my client’s dining room.

Adding fabric instantly changes the feel of a room and then you wonder how you lived with such a bare window for so long.

On the heels of the Pinterest Poetcore prediction On the heels of the Pinterest Poetcore prediction I thought I’d recreate the essence of Dylan Thomas’s writing shed that I shared the other day. I recently discovered the work of Toronto artist @holly_farrell_painting , her realistic paintings of classic and beloved books bring the perfect touch of lived in character to inspire this setting. Layers of different wood tones, ink botanicals, vintage inspired eclectic furniture and timeless textiles create a comforting spot to sit down for a while with a cuppa and ponder or put pen to paper.

To quote PinterestPredicts directly ‘Aspiring authors, assemble. In 2026, Gen Z and Millennials will channel their inner protagonist with oversized turtlenecks, vintage blazers and messenger satchels. Oh, and don’t forget the fountain pen. Consider this your aesthetic MFA—no student loans required’

Pictured here is Dylan Thomas’ Writing Shed, LAUGHARNE, CARMARTHENSHIRE. I have family living close by so this was from a visit a couple of years back.

The Writing Shed (a former garage) was his studio space located just above the main Boathouse, his former home. Both offer stunning views across the Taff Estuary and are thought to have heavily influenced his work. He wrote much of his later work here including his play Under Milkwood.
